OUR STORY

Cleve and Mike met over twenty years ago as booksellers in Washington, DC. In the many years that followed they have each worked in different facets of the publishing industry, from author events to national broadcast TV and in-house publicity. They have always shared a love of championing a book and shepherding authors through the months leading up to and after publication. They’re interested in advocating for new and marginalized voices as well as books that challenge and excite. At Squirrel House they design publicity campaigns that range in size and scope. They provide constant guidance and support and seek to work collaboratively with authors. The book publicity world is crowded, more books are being published each year and fewer traditional media avenues are available. Cleve and Mike work with authors to navigate this new landscape and believe that despite the challenges, connecting an author with their readers will always be the measure of success.
